Frequently asked questions about Cannabis, Orders & Shipping and our Products.

About Cannabis

What does Actual vs Potential mean?

To receive the effects of cannabis you must Decarboxylate your cannabis by heating it to the point where the THC/CBD is activated. Actual CBD/THC refers to the amount of CBD/THC that is in the plant before it is heated (either by smoking, vaporizing or cooking). While the potential CBD/THC refers to the amount you actually consume when you smoke, vaporize or cook your cannabis.

What does growing hydroponically mean?

It is the method of growing plants in a water-based, nutrient-rich solution. We use this method because a hydroponic system allows the plant’s roots to come in direct contact with the nutrient solution, while also having access to oxygen which is essential for proper growth. At our facility, we do not use soil.

How should I store my cannabis?

Just like your deepest darkest secrets, you want to keep cannabis in a cool and dark place.

To ensure the quality of your cannabis, we recommend you keep your product in a cool temperature-stable area (Health Canada suggests 2 to 6°C or 35 to 42°F) and away from sources of heat and light, including the sun. Light can lead to cannabinoid, including THC and CBD, degradation and heat and freezing temperatures can cause your product to mould, dry out or become brittle.

Here at Gage Cannabis Co. we also recommend that you store your cannabis in something a lot better than that old zip lock baggy you’ve been using. Try a mason jar or a glass herb container to ensure an airtight seal. If you’re interested, invest in a humidity pack as well.

Oh, and protect your children and pets. Keep it out of reach of little hands and tiny paws.
